Ever get tired of Wordle? So did I, thats why I started seeking similar games who although had a similar game play strategy varied in themes and game psychology.
Why I got bored of Worlde?
Wordle was a breeze of fresh air when I first played it, it was quick, fun, thrilling and It never gave me the confidence I could beat the daily puzzle, thats why I tried harder and thats why I loved playing it. It became sort of a social phenomenon when we all shared our scores especially during lockdown, the wordle scoreboard statuses took twitter by storm.
While its true that other games existed prior to Wordle, this one in particular amassed so much popularity(including me) as it was very short but not so easy as people thought. Sometimes I struggled but sometimes I solved the game with such ease that I needed to find a replacement to fill up the time I had dedicated to games in my day. After finishing the Wordle Puzzles I did find the crossword too long and complex, Connections was fine but the other ones did not seem appealing to me so I set off to find a better game.
Come PocketGames
While searching I stumbled upon PocketGames which is not a game but a collection of games, you can always play from the App if you prefer it that way. A daily fact and quote are available each day.
To keep track of your progress and stats its easy to create a free account. It will also give you access to play older puzzles from the archive in case you miss any and want to play it later to catch up. An interesting feature is sharing your progress and asking a friend or family member for help – asking help is for the brave no? No shame in asking for help – besides It can help you socialize more.
Pocket Puzzles features five daily games including
Fix the Mix
Passcodes
Four Square
String Theory
Letterheads.
You can go ahead and play any of them. So far for me passcodes is my favorite maybe because it resembles Connections of NYT – it gives you a clue and you must find the matching word or words from the set that is given to you.
